PRODUCT DETAILS

The Jessner peel is a highly effective peel formulated with a blend of resorcinol, lactic acid, and salicylic acid.

The Jessner peel is ideal for lightening areas of hyperpigmentation, treating mild acne improving the appearance of acne scars, and improving sun-damaged skin.

The Jessner peel strips off the damaged surface skin while stimulating the development of fibroblasts and collagen in the deeper dermal layers. Repeated treatments will bring significant improvement to the tone, texture, and quality of the skin.

KEY INGREDIENTS

Salicylic acid is a beta-hydroxy acid (BHA) that is derived from willow bark. As a BHA, it is fat-soluble and can penetrate into the lipid layer of the skin to unclog pores, reducing breakouts and blemishes.

How to use:  DO NOT USE MORE THAN EVERY 4-6 WEEKS.

It is recommended that new users begin with 1-3 layers for a light/medium peel. Generally 4-6 layers will result in a medium/deep peel and 7-8 layers can result in a deep peel. The distinct blend of acids works in synergy to combat hyperpigmentation, sun damage and rough texture to reveal vibrant glowing skin.

With use of this peeling solution, your skin may become red and take on a frosting appearance during application. In some cases, the skin will have a temporary anesthesia or numbing effect. The skin may appear red or dark for several days while recovering from the peel. Breakouts may also occur after peeling. This reaction is normal and the breakout is due to the pores cleansing and bringing debris to the surface. Your skin should begin to balance out within a few weeks, leading to clearer and less oily skin. (Downtime will vary depending on how many layers are applied)

Jessner Peel is suitable for most skin types particularly normal to oily, acneic, and sun damaged. Sensitive and dry skin types should consult with one of our estheticians to determine if the Jessner peel is an appropriate choice for them.

Directions for using a Jessner Skin Peel:
Please read the complete instructions that come with your peel prior to applying.

🛑 CAUTION:  ALWAYS DO A SMALL PATCH TEST BEFORE DOING A JESSNER PEEL TO SEE HOW YOUR SKIN REACTS.


Step 1: Wash the skin with mild soap or cleanser and pat dry. 
Step 2: Apply the Jessner peel to a gauze pad and smooth it over the desired area of the face, neck, or decolletage.
Step 3: Allow the peel to set for no more than 5-8 minutes during the first application. Observe the reaction and layer accordingly. For a light peel you can apply 2-3 layers, for a medium strength peel 4-6, and 6-8 layers for an extremely deep peel.
Step 4: Remove the peel by rinsing it with cool water directly over the applied area.  Gently pat the skin dry.
Step 5. Apply Growth Factor serum.

Maintenance:
Maintain your new vibrant skin with our "Growth Factor Serum"  and daily SPF 30+ moisturizer.

*Darker skin tones (particularly Fitzpatrick 4, 5, and 6) should proceed with caution due to an increased risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation from resorcinol exposure.

 

ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS:

 

Directions for using a Jessner 14% Skin Peel

Caution: Always do a patch test before proceeding. **Darker skin tones (particularly Fitzpatrick 4, 5, and 6) should proceed with caution due to an increased risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation from resorcinol exposure. What skin scale are you? Please see the scale below:

 

Step 1: Wash the skin with a good cleanser and pat dry.

Step 2: Apply the Jessner peel to a gauze pad and smooth it over the desired area of the face, neck, or decolletage, with gloves.

Step 3: Allow the peel to set for no more than 5-8 minutes during the first application. Observe the reaction and layer accordingly. For a light peel, you can apply 2-3 layers, for a medium strength peel 4-6, and 6-8 layers for a deeper peel.

Step 4: Remove the peel by applying cool water directly over the applied area. Rinse the remaining solution with cool water. Gently pat the skin dry.

Step 5. Apply Perpetual Youth Skin Care "Recovery Serum" and sunscreen if going outdoors (try not to get any sun exposure at all).

Caution: Be extremely careful if using under the eyes only.  Use a Q-tip and do just the under eye skin.  NOT NEAR THE LASH/WATER LINE.
If accidentally gets into your eyes, wash it with cold water immediately! A Jessner's peel is a progressive

treatment that will not provide a final result with one peel. If the treatment is intended to solve a significant problem, Jessner's peels are performed every 4 weeks depending on the condition of your skin.

Maintain your new vibrant skin with Perpetual Youth Skin Care "Growth Factor Serum" and a daily SPF 30+ moisturizer.

For the first 24 hours, you should avoid any harsh skin care products. For two weeks, you should avoid saunas, hot tubs, and strenuous exercise. You must also avoid all unnecessary sun exposure. The most challenging part about recovering from a Jessner’s peel is resisting the urge to pick at the peeling skin. It’s important to let the old skin fall off when it’s ready, as it’s protecting the new skin underneath. If you remove it prematurely, you could end up with bleeding, scabbing, a longer healing process, and possibly a

skin infection.
People with a history of keloids or abnormal scarring should not use a Jessner Peel.

Avoid Acids, Retin-a/Tretinoin for at least one week after Jessner peel.

Just did another Jessner Peel and I’m so excited for the results. Teresa was right when she said slow and easy is better. I’m 59 and my skin has never looked better. I will be 59 this year. I have never had a chemical peel done, ever! I purchased the Jessner peel but had it for a couple of weeks because I was nervous to try it. I finally got up the nerve and am completely satisfied. Still waiting on final results. I only did 2 layers and only left it half the suggested time. Very lightly peeling but next time I’ll do more layers and leave it on the suggested amount of time.

I used the peel and was hoping for more of a burn! Lol but it wasn’t bad. I watched her video on YouTube as I was doing it and then followed the steps. I peeled for like a week and mainly around my mouth and forehead. My neck super tight for days! Can’t wait to do it again and see the results over time.

This review is long over due , I have been using this product which I love since 2020 . My journey started during the pandemic and could not get to dermatologist office as we all know nothing was open . I had a incision from Basel skin cancer that was cut out by Mohs Surgury prior and left a scar . Nothing was diminishing the scar after healing . I used daily pore filler , you name it . It was so upsetting Iv never had bad skin or acne and to look at this daily was frustrating . I was trying to help fade it away . ASAP And this is what I needed . I came across it on instagram ad and thought Why not ? The products look good ingredients . I’m going to try this . Iv Been using for 6 yrs and my scar is gone . Consistent use . My skin feels amazing , I use the peel once a month , my first time I was nervous, as I am sensitive to alot of products . but I followed the instructions and all went great . I went easy first few gos till my skin was use to it . My pores look smooth my skin looks great . Yes , I love my skincare routine . Easy , not a lot of products that confuse you . Simple and luxurious at the same time . The Jessner peel is such a wonderful change , your skin brightens , the cleanser is just so amazing & it goes a long ways. The face mask is absolutely fabulous. Your skin has much more hydration .
