PRODUCT DETAILS
The Jessner peel is a highly effective peel formulated with a blend of resorcinol, lactic acid, and salicylic acid.
The Jessner peel is ideal for lightening areas of hyperpigmentation, treating mild acne improving the appearance of acne scars, and improving sun-damaged skin.
The Jessner peel strips off the damaged surface skin while stimulating the development of fibroblasts and collagen in the deeper dermal layers. Repeated treatments will bring significant improvement to the tone, texture, and quality of the skin.
KEY INGREDIENTS
With use of this peeling solution, your skin may become red and take on a frosting appearance during application. In some cases, the skin will have a temporary anesthesia or numbing effect. The skin may appear red or dark for several days while recovering from the peel. Breakouts may also occur after peeling. This reaction is normal and the breakout is due to the pores cleansing and bringing debris to the surface. Your skin should begin to balance out within a few weeks, leading to clearer and less oily skin. (Downtime will vary depending on how many layers are applied)

Jessner Peel is suitable for most skin types particularly normal to oily, acneic, and sun damaged. Sensitive and dry skin types should consult with one of our estheticians to determine if the Jessner peel is an appropriate choice for them.

Directions for using a Jessner Skin Peel:
Please read the complete instructions that come with your peel prior to applying.
🛑 CAUTION: ALWAYS DO A SMALL PATCH TEST BEFORE DOING A JESSNER PEEL TO SEE HOW YOUR SKIN REACTS.
Step 1: Wash the skin with mild soap or cleanser and pat dry.
Step 2: Apply the Jessner peel to a gauze pad and smooth it over the desired area of the face, neck, or decolletage.
Step 3: Allow the peel to set for no more than 5-8 minutes during the first application. Observe the reaction and layer accordingly. For a light peel you can apply 2-3 layers, for a medium strength peel 4-6, and 6-8 layers for an extremely deep peel.
Step 4: Remove the peel by rinsing it with cool water directly over the applied area. Gently pat the skin dry.
Step 5. Apply Growth Factor serum.
Maintenance:
Maintain your new vibrant skin with our "Growth Factor Serum" and daily SPF 30+ moisturizer.
*Darker skin tones (particularly Fitzpatrick 4, 5, and 6) should proceed with caution due to an increased risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation from resorcinol exposure.

Directions for using a Jessner 14% Skin Peel
Caution: Always do a patch test before proceeding. **Darker skin tones (particularly Fitzpatrick 4, 5, and 6) should proceed with caution due to an increased risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation from resorcinol exposure. What skin scale are you? Please see the scale below:
Step 1: Wash the skin with a good cleanser and pat dry.
Step 2: Apply the Jessner peel to a gauze pad and smooth it over the desired area of the face, neck, or decolletage, with gloves.
Step 3: Allow the peel to set for no more than 5-8 minutes during the first application. Observe the reaction and layer accordingly. For a light peel, you can apply 2-3 layers, for a medium strength peel 4-6, and 6-8 layers for a deeper peel.
Step 4: Remove the peel by applying cool water directly over the applied area. Rinse the remaining solution with cool water. Gently pat the skin dry.
Step 5. Apply Perpetual Youth Skin Care "Recovery Serum" and sunscreen if going outdoors (try not to get any sun exposure at all).
Caution: Don't use it around the eyes.
If accidentally gets into your eyes, wash it with cold water immediately! A Jessner's peel is a progressive
treatment that will not provide a final result with one peel. If the treatment is intended to solve a significant problem, Jessner's peels are performed every 4 weeks depending on the condition of your skin.

For the first 24 hours, you should avoid any harsh skin care products. For two weeks, you should avoid saunas, hot tubs, and strenuous exercise. You must also avoid all unnecessary sun exposure. The most challenging part about recovering from a Jessner’s peel is resisting the urge to pick at the peeling skin. It’s important to let the old skin fall off when it’s ready, as it’s protecting the new skin underneath. If you remove it prematurely, you could end up with bleeding, scabbing, a longer healing process, and possibly a
skin infection.
People with a history of keloids or abnormal scarring should not use a Jessner Peel.
Avoid Acids, Retin-a/Tretinoin for at least one week after Jessner peel.
PLEASE REFER TO THE FITZPATRICK SCALE BELOW TO SEE IF YOU SHOULD AVOID A SKIN PEEL. THOSE WITH MEDIUM TO DARKER SKIN SHOULD AVOID A SKIN PEEL BEFORE TALKING TO A HEALTH PRACTITIONER TO DECIDE IF IT'S RIGHT FOR YOU.
